finally see clearly
the day's slogan is from a section of the book of Isaiah that calls for departure from illusions. The illusion of it is to take leave, the fascination with the strength and power of Egypt, the reliance on violence and deceit. Israel's strength, however, are reversed, and cool, calm and confidence. If Israel repents to God, calm and serene trust in his help, then it will finally see clearly and act politically wise.
finally see clearly and illusions of farewell take - the inviting slogan of the day for us today. Which illusions it is for us to say goodbye? What false promises, we are sitting on? Is constant growth not an illusion, which is not modified at the expense of nature? Let us truly the challenge of the world to promote justice and solidarity, all people can live with it? And personally - mainly because we trust our own strength or our good contacts? Or must we take just the illusion of our weakness and leave us some confidence at last?
Because God trusts us more and us our limits, he teaches us the open and honest look. Because his merciful glance is upon us, we can make him leave, and illusions of how good it feels to finally see clearly. Then we find the peace and serenity, in which lies our strength.
