Heaven will pass away like smoke and disintegrate the earth like a garment, and the inhabitants thereof are then die like flies. But my salvation will remain for ever.
Isaiah 51.6

If in you is what you have heard from the beginning, so you will remain in the Son and the Father. 1 John 2.24

That is transitory trust

God, let us look at your salvation, trust
that is transitory, non-vanity
us rejoice!
Let us be silly,
And in front of you on earth
like children to be pious and happy!

This verse from the wonderful evening of song Matthias Claudius fits wonderfully for me today to our day solution. From it speaks the deep trust that the man who trusts in God, is a stop where that is not of this world and remains even when everything is shaken. And also this verse keeps us from a danger of our present day solution. For how often succumb just pious Christians of the fascination apocalyptic disaster scenarios. But this is not about doomsday scenarios imagine - and much less natural, they bring characters to watch as the supposed impending salvation or as a punishment for the impious. All this would not be pious, but rather cynical and wicked. The pious simplicity, speaks of the Matthias Claudius, will not interpret explain suffering and disasters, but directs his gaze fixed on what may be in all the suffering and disasters in all support and hope: let us look at your salvation - in the people we meet in the love we give and receive, in the word that comforts us in the community that strengthens us.
